This dog is Ramón. For years he had always lived alone, in the streets of a village near León, somehow managing to survive on the little food people gave him, or on what he could find.
Last winter was extremely cold. The poor Ramón spent the nights half buried in the snow. It's a miracle that he could survive in such cold weather, being as he is an old dog. To make things worse, a woman in the village wanted to take him to a pound where he would have been given only a few days.
Luckily Dani found out about Ramón and took him to his house, where he has lived since with the other dogs Dani fosters.
Now he is Merme's best friend. You can see them together in some of the photos. They have become so close that they rarely separate from one another. Both need a home. Although we know it is a very unlikely possibility, they would be absolutely happy if there was a family who wanted both of them....Ideally in a house with a garden or in the country, because they are both big dogs. However, they are very good and very quiet, despite their size.
Ramón has sometimes problems with the other males, but he is lovely with females and people. He is a cross-breed German shepherd, about 8 years old. It would be nice if he could find a home now, the home and comfort he hasn't known yet. Please don't forget his friend Merme, who is a lovely bitch, and who is spayed.
In the main photograph, taken yesterday, he looks very sad. He has not very good teeth and there are some wounds in his mouth, so we'll take him to the vet. Poor Ramón, maybe his luck will change one day.tas....
