This beautiful bitch is Greta. She has recently been taken to the pound. She had just had babies, in these pictures you can see her still in the process of recovery. She is about 3 years old. She has a very good character. Probably her previous "owners" abandoned her when they noticed that she was pregnant. Probably hunters, in their usual line: a shot, or hanging, or leaving the animals on some road , when they don't find any more use for them.
Well, Greta was a bit luckier than many other greyhounds, and she is safe now. But her time counts down, as she is in a pound, where animals are only kept for a limited period of time.... so she needs urgent help. She is shy, but very sweet, she looks at people and the look in her eyes is that of: " I want to trust you, can I trust you? Will you help me?"... and she needs so much to trust, that she always ends up coming over, asking for a caress and a nice word with that tender expression in her beautiful, sad eyes. She wants to start a new life, and she needs a lovely , caring family who can give her that new life she deserves.
She will be spayed soon, and she has already her microchip . She has been vaccinated both with Vanguard 7 and for rabbies. She even has her European passport. She was going to be adopted in France, but unluckily for our poor Greta, the adoption failed at the last minute. Lets hope next time is the definite one.
